Last Wednesday, Disney Godmother Jennifer Hudson christened the Disney Dream – the newest ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet. The ship sets sail on its maiden voyage January 26th with high expectations from Disney fans around the world.
During the christening, Sorcerer Mickey and Disney Pirates and Princesses helped fill a huge champagne bottle with dreams of Adventure, Discovery, Escape, Fantasy, Friendship, Romance, and Happily Ever After. The Disney Dream has so many exciting new features that it’s easy to see how all of these dreams really can come true.
Guests can live dreams of Adventure on the AquaDuck – the first water roller coaster at sea. Adults and children 48 inches tall (or taller) can board two person rafts for a thrilling ride through clear tubes out over the ocean and down through the ship before landing in the pool.
Children can live dreams of Discovery in the newly redesigned Oceaneer’s club and lab, with the interactive games, storytelling, experiments, and themed spaces like Pixie Hollow and Andy’s Room.
Families can live dreams of Escape on Disney’s private island – Castaway Cay. The island now features private cabanas for the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of the main beach area.
Girls and boys of all ages can live the dream of Fantasy as they meet their favorite Disney Princesses and classic characters on board the ship.
Tweens and Teens can enjoy dreams of Friendship as they meet and hang out with new friends in spaces dedicated just for them – the Edge for Tweens, and Vibe for teenagers.
Adults can live the dreams of Romance as they dine in select adult only restaurants – Palo and the new high end French restaurant “Remy” (based on the French themes found in the Disney Pixar movie “Ratatouille”).
With all the amenities onboard – like interactive art, fine dining, whimsical restaurants, family activities, and more – guests can definitely enjoy the dream of a Happily Ever After together with loved ones on board the Disney Dream.
