About Mouse Travel Tips
In 2009, our family launched a Disney travel planning website: www.wdwautism.com. The purpose of WDW Autism.com is to help families, like ours, who have children with autism plan a magical and fun vacation to the Disney resorts. My husband and I have two children, one with moderate to severe autism. We’ve found our Disney vacations have been some of the best therapy for him that we could buy. Disney cast members go above and beyond to help each and every person who comes through the gates have a magical day, and we have quickly become Disney addicts!
Over the course of the past year, we realized that many of our travel tips can apply more broadly to any family with young children, or even adult or solo travelers who are looking for ways to make their Disney trip affordable, fun, and as magical as possible. So in February, 2010 we decided to launch a new blog and podcast – “Mouse Travel Tips: a mouse-sized podcast packed with Disney travel tips!”
The format of our podcast is simple: each week we’ll share a travel planning tip, as well as highlight a specific area of a Disney park. We’ll cover not only the four parks of Walt Disney World (the Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom), but we’ll also cover the Disneyland resort (Disneyland and Disney’s California Adventure), along with the Disney Cruise line. We’ll end each podcast with some fun facts about the highlighted area of the parks or cruise line.
This blog, www.mousetraveltips.com, is mean to be a companion to the podcast. We invite you to share your Disney travel tips, and to let us know what you like and dislike about the podcast format. If there is a specific park or attraction you’d like us to highlight, please let us know!
Welcome to our podcast and blog site – we hope you have a magical time listening to us and sharing with us, and in the words of Mickey Mouse “we’ll see ya REAL soon!”
